ARTICLE III - PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the Association shall be to provide support and assistance
to family service agencies and other human services organizations throughout the State
of New Jersey, who are members, to market regional and statewide programs and services
which serve families, and to advocate for public and private policy which supports
families.
ARTICLE IV - ELIGIBILITY
Any human service organization in New Jersey shall be eligible to become a member
of the Association upon meeting membership criteria as established by the Board of
Trustees from time to time. An organization shall be admitted to membership upon approval
from the Board of Trustees and shall continue in good standing by being current with
dues.
PROCESS
- The executive of a potential member agency will express interest in membership.
The Executive Director and/or members of the potential member agency's Board
will meet with FSANJ's Executive Director to review the benefits and responsibilities
of membership.
- A potential member agency must be sponsored by membership by at least one current
FSANJ member agency. The sponsor must be familiar with the work, mission and philosophy
of the potential member.
- The potential member agency must indicate that it will support FSANJ's
activities, including its willingness to attend FSANJ meetings, providing requested
information, serving on FSANJ Committees, and representing FSANJ at meetings with
State government and other entities.
- The potential member agency will fill out a membership application to document
programmatic activity, mission and support of FSANJ's mission.
- A new member must be approved for membership by two-thirds of FSANJ members.
