Family Service Association of New Jersey (FSANJ) is a membership association of nonprofit
agencies who serve children, adults and families. It is the mission of FSANJ to improve
the quality of life by strengthening and developing the ability of member agencies
to provide a broad range of services.
VISION
To accomplish our Mission, FSANJ will:
- Enhance and strengthen the capacity of member agencies to provide the highest
quality of service by being a resource of knowledge, learning and networking for
its executive leadership and board.
- Cultivate the professional and leadership development of member agency executives
through mentoring and shared learning opportunities.
- Advance a comprehensive continuum of services that help NJ's children, adults
and families build lives of quality and self-sufficiency.
- Advocate for the development of State and Federal policies and programs that will
foster the well-being of NJ's children, adults and families.
- Help member agencies develop their capacity in collaboration with others, to ensure
that a full range of services and support needed by vulnerable children, adults
and families is available.
- Promote a true public/private partnership providing NJ's children, families and
individuals in need an array of fully funded, quality services.

FY '09 STRATEGIC GOALS
- Develop a multi-pronged training program in collaboration with member agencies
to enhance the capacity to deliver higher quality services.
- Build a Government Relations platform that promotes our Mission and Vision.
- Strengthen internal association governance procedures.
- Explore business development that builds upon members' collective capacity.
